Tinitigies Story
We Didn't Set Out to Start a Brand
We set out to find a mobile that felt like it was made by someone who actually thought about it.
Thought about the baby lying beneath it. Thought about how newborn eyes learn to focus. Thought about whether the little felt figures would still hold their shape six months later, still hanging in a warm room, still doing their quiet job.
We couldn't find one. So we made one.
The First Mobile
My wife made it at the kitchen table, on a quiet night after our daughter had finally fallen asleep.
She chose felt because it's soft without being flimsy. She chose the figures carefully: shapes with enough contrast and presence to catch a newborn's eye, without overwhelming a little one still learning to see the world. She thought about how many pieces a two-month-old could actually take in at once, and she stopped there.
When we hung it over our daughter's crib, she tracked every single figure. She went quiet in that particular way parents learn to recognize: not sleepy quiet, but held quiet. The kind that means something has genuinely caught her attention. She fell asleep still looking up.
We looked at each other across the room. We didn't need to say a word.
That was the beginning.
Made with Care, All the Way Through
From day one, two things were never up for discussion.
The first: every figure on every Tinitigies mobile is stitched by hand, filled by hand, and checked by hand. It takes longer. It costs more. We wouldn't have it any other way.
The second: you deserve to know who makes them. Our artisans are a team of mothers in Vietnam, women with deep roots in traditional needlework. They bring something to this work that no machine ever could: the understanding, from their own lives, of what it means to want something truly beautiful and truly safe above your baby's head. We're proud of them. And we think their story is part of yours.
What Tinitigies Really Is
A small company. A real team. Products that ship as complete sets, because we know what it's like to need everything to work on the first try, at 11pm, when the baby is already tired and you just need something to go right. Every Tinitigies mobile comes with the crib arm and a music box loaded with 12 original piano lullabies. Nothing missing.
Nothing to figure out.
We stand behind everything we make. If something breaks or stops working within a year, we replace it. No forms. No back-and-forth.
What we make is designed for the first five months of a baby's life: that tender window when a slowly turning mobile is one of the most useful things in the nursery, and one of the quietest joys a parent gets to witness.
That's what we do. We're really glad you found us.
